AN ORDINANCE extending the city limits of the City of Bremerton by including
within the city limits of the City of Bremerton certain public roads intended to be
incorporated within the City limits by Ordinance No. 1372 of the City of Bremerton,
passed January 29, 1941; amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1372 to accomplish
such purpose, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That it was the intention of the City Commission to extend the
city limits to include the public roads, or portions thereof, which lie within the
real property legally described in Section 2 of this Ordinance, at the time the
City Commission extended the city limits of the City of Bremerton by Ordinance No.
1372, passed by the 0ity Commission on the 29th day of January, 1941, but by
mistake and inadvertence the legal description contained in Section 3 of said
Ordinance No. 1372 excepted and did not include the said public roads.
Section 2. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1372 of the City of Bremerton,
passed by the City Commission on January 29, 1941, be and the said Section 3 of said
Ordinance is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. The City limits of the City of Bremerton are hereby
extended to include the hereinafter described real property, which
is hereby annexed to the city of ~remerton:
"Government Lot Six (6), Section Thirteen (13) Township Twenty-
four (24) North, Range One (1) E.W.M., together with tide lands of
the second class fronting or abutting thereon to the line of extreme
low tide, EXCEPT commencing at the North quarter corner of said
section, township and range, thence along the north boundary of said
section on a bearing of North 87o55'36" ,'fest for a distance of
643.61 feet; thence South 2o94,24" West a distance of 335.~1 feet to
the true_point of beginning; thence Sou~ 44o06' W~st 30 feet; thence
South 45u54~ East 30.00 feet; thence North 44°06' East 30.00 feet;
thence North 45~54' ~Vest 30.00 feet to point of beginning,
~LS0 EXCEPT beginning at a point 25 feet North of the Southeast
corner of said Lot Six (6), thence North 150 feet, ~hence West 32.33
feet; thence South 150 feet; thence East 32.33 £eet to beginning.
ALSO INCLUDING and not excepting the West 57.67 feet of the Northwest
~uarter of the Northeast ouarter of Section 13, TownShip 24 North,
Range 1 E.W.M., ~.
EXCEPT the North 154 feet thereof and except the South 175 feet
thereof;
ALSO INCLUDING and not excepting Lots Nine (9), Ten:(10), Eleven (ll)
and Twelve (12), in Block Seven (7) Ryther's First Addition to Deca-
tur,
ALL of the above and foregoing described real property being in Kitsap
County, State of ,~ashington."
Section 3. This Ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of
the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of Bremerton, and for
carrying out municipal purposes, and shall take effect immediately upon passage
and publication.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerbon, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication thereof, this 25th day of June,
1941.
