AM ORDINANCE, declaring an emergency to exist on account of the necessity for
payment of certain fire insurance policies for the protection of the City of
Bremerton, and appropriating funds to meet such emergency.
~E CITY C0~fISSION OF THE CITY OF B~ERTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL0~S:
Section 1. That a public emergency exists in the City of Bremerton, which
~ould not reasonably have been foreseen at the tiz_e of making the budget for the
lear 1941, in that premiums for four fire insurance policies to the fire insur-
ance companies hereina~ter listed and in the amounts hereinafter listed, here
~ecome due from the City of i~remerton, and that funds paid by the Bremerton
Perminal Company in the total sum of ~538.89, intended to be used for payment of
~he said premiums, have been inadvertently deposited in the City ~arf Fund, and
~annot be expended without the declaration of an emergency:
Fireman's Fund Insurance Company ................. ~100.55
Century Insurance Company ........................ 67.02
Home Insurance Company ........................... 104.60
Phoenix ~kssurance Co~pany ........................ 134.00
Total ....... ~406.17
Section 2. That it will be necessary to issue emergency warrants in tt~e total
~um of ~406.17, in payment of the expense occasioned by the said emergency, and
~he City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue four emergency warrants
~o the insurance companies hereinbefore mentioned and in the amounts hereinbefore
~entioned in payment of said emergency, and to retire said emerge~cy warrants from
~he sum of ~o~8.69 paid to the City oF Bremerton by the Bremerton Terminal Con, any
~nd deposited in the City '/~arf Fund.
Section $. That an emergency exists affecting the public peace, health and
~afety, and this Ordinance is immediately necessary and shall take effect upon final
~assage and publication.
