AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local Improvement
District No. 2la, created and established b~ Ordinance No. 1425, providing for the
improvement of Nipsic Avenue from East 13th Street to East 15th Street, as in .
said ordinance provided; providing for the' levying and assessing of the costs and
expenses t~,~ereof against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and wi'th-
in the bo~.u~daries of the said im~)rovement district; provld!ng for the collection
thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing the date
for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY 0F BRE~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
~ection 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 218,
providing f6r the Im?rovement of Nipsic Avenue from East 13th Street to East 16th
Street, by clearing, grubbing, grading, surfacing and oiling, an~ all other work
necessary to make said improvement a co~plete job, all in accordance with the plus
and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, mid as provided by
and described in Ordinance No. 142~, be and the s~%e is hereby approved and con-
firmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as sho,~ in
said assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there
be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof,
and other property contained in said improvement district as shown in said roll,
including t~ke propert['y belonging to the City of Bremerton,. the respective amounts
in said roll set against eac~ parcel and lot of land or part thereof, and other
property between the te~inl of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proxi-
mate to said street, ~d such a~unts, so assessed, are hereby declared, to be a
first lien against each parcel' or lot of land or part thereof, against %which ~e
same Is assessed in said roll.
Section 5. That for the purpose of this said improvement there ts hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called, "Local Improvement
F~d, District No. 218," Bonds shall be issued in serial n~bers from One to
..., both tnclllstve, or so many as may be necessary to provide
~or the uncollected portion of said special assessment due or owing in said
district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denominations of One
Hundred (~100.00) ~llars each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional
part of One Hundred ~llars as may be remaining due and ~paid on .said date, pay-
abl~ from said "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 218."
Section 4. That the 29th day of December, 194~, be and the ss]ne is hereby
f.fxed for the date of the issuance and Sale of the bonds to be isslled on account
of said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall' be in full force and effect thirty days from
and after its passage and publication as ~rovided by law.
