REPEALED BEFORE EFFECTIVE DATE
ORDINANCE NO. 1489
AN ORDINANCE amending section 2 of Ordinance No. 1461 of the city of Bremerton,
entitled: "An Ordinance for licensing and regulating the operation of certain
amusement machines and other devices and games for use by the public; providing
penalties for the violation thereof; and fixing the effective date of th~.s ordinance."
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That section 2 of Ordinance No. 1461, entitled as fully set forth
in the title to this ordinance, be and the said section 2 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 2. AM1JSMMMNT DEVICE LICENSE.
It shall be unlawful for any person to display,
exhibit, or expose, or permit to be used, played or operated,
or displayed, exhibited, or exposed for purpose of use,
play or operation, by the general public, or for profit,
any amusement device without having a valid and subsisting
license to be designated as "Amusement Device License"
and on which all license fees due have been paid, which
license shall specifically describe the particular device
licensed and shall be attached to and conspicuously
displayed on the amusement device for which it is issued,
which license shall also contain the name of the
"Operator" responsible for such amusement device, his
address and the number allotted to said device under
said operator's license, as referred to in Section 4
of this Ordinance. No "Amusement Device License"
shall be issued uuless an "Operator's License" as
hereinafter defined shall have previously been issued
to the person who will be responsible for such machine
as the operator thereof. The City Clerk shall pre-
scribe the form of license and each amusement device
shall be licensed at the sum equal to the gross operat-
in income as defined herein, multiplied by the rate of
ten per cent (10%), and shall be paid to the City
Treasurer within ten (lC) days from and after the end
of the particular month for which ~he said amount
becomes due.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after
passage and publication.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor
and attestedby the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 21st day of
August, 1942.
