AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 215, created and established by Ordinance No. 1362,
providing for the improvement of VANDALIA AVENUE from East Thirteenth Street
to East Sixteenth Street, as in said ordinance provided; providing for the
levying and assessing of the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels
and lots of land between the termini and within the boundaries of the said
improvement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and
establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing the date for the issuance
of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY C05~MISS!0N 0F THE CITY OF BRE~¥~IERTON 0RDAINB AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 21~, providing for the improvement of Vandalta Avenue from East Thirteenth
Street to East Sixteenth Street, by a system of storm and sanitary sewers
and appurtenances, together with the doing of any and all other work
necessary to make a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and
specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk and as provided by
and described in Ordinance No. 1~62, be and the same is hereby approved and
confirmed.
Section ~. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof as shown
in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and
that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land
and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement district
as shov~ in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of
Bremerton, the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and
lot of land or part thereof, and other property between the termini of
said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and
such amounts, so assessed, are declared to be a first lien against each
parcel or lot of land, or part thereof, against which the said amount is
assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement, there is hereby
created and established a special fund, to be known ss "Local Improvement
Fund, District No. ~15." Bonds shall be issued to provide for the uncollected
portion of said special assessments ~ue or owing in said district on the
date of issuance of said bonds, which said bonds shall be in denominations
of $200.00 each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional part
of $200.00 as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, and which said
bonds shall be payable from said Local Improvement District No. ~15.
Section 4. That the llth day of March, 1942, be and the same ! . ~'
hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of bonds to be 'i ~..~:c, ed
on account of said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
days from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the C~ ty Commission of the City of Bremerton,. signed by the
Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage,
this 14th day of January, 194~.
