AN ORDINANCE providing for the abandonment of all unexpended funds approp-
riated in the 1944 budget, except certain designated funds, and providing that
certain designated funds shall be carried forward and remain in full force and
effect and be held available for the purpose of such budgetary appropriation.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That all sums provided in the budget for the year 1944 for
capital or betterment outlays of all departments, which remain unexpended or
unencumbered on January 20, 1945, shall be abandoned on January 20, 1945, except
the following which shall remain in full ~orce and effect and shall be held
available during the year of 1945, unless hereafter specifically abandoned by
ordinance:
General Fund, Fire Depart~nent

Section 2. That an emergency exists and that this ordinance is necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of th~
City of Bremerton, and that this ordinance shall be effective immediately ~pon
passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously this 2~h day of December, 1944, signed by the mayor,
attested to by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage.
