AN ORDINANCE providing for the zoning of the City of Bremerton into fire
districts and establishing the limits of such districts and repealing ordinances
No. 990 and No. 1112, 1423 and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict therewith.
THE CITY OF BRF~MERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Ail that portion of the City of Bremerton braced within the
following ~escribed limits shall be fire Zone No. 1.
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 11 of the Original Plat of
the Town of Bremerton, thence East and along the South margin of let
Street to the Northeast corner of Lot 5 of Block 10 of said Plat,
thence South along the East line of said Lot 5 and said East lime
extended South to the Northwesterly margin of Washington Avenue, thence
Sootheasterly to the Northwest corner of Lot 9 of Block 1 of said. ?~ t,
thence Southeasterly along the Westerly line of said Lot 9 and said
Westerly line extended to the Government ~eander line, thence North-
easterly and along said Meander line to a point on said lV~eander line

Beginning at the intersection of the South margin of Farragut
Street with the East line of Section 9.2, Township 24 N., of
Range i E, W.Y.., thence North and along said Section line to
a point 75 feet North of the North margin of Rodgers Street,
thence West to the Northeast corner of Lot 27 of Block 9 of
the original plat of Charleston, thence North and along the
West margin of Callow Avenue to the Northeast corner of Lot
34 of Block 9, thence West to the Northwest corner of Lot 13
of Block 9, thence South and along the East margin of Wyco£f
Avenue to the Northwest corner of Lot ~D of Block 9, thence
West to a point on the West line of Lot 23 of Block ll, said
point being 95 feet North of the ~orth margin of Rodgers
Street, thence South and along the East margin of alley and
along the West line of Lot 17 of Block 23 and along the
West line oF Lots 5 and 19. of Block 26 to the North margin of
Preble Street, thence Southwesterly to the Northwest corner
of Lot 2 of Block 6 of Anderson Bay View Addition, thence
South along the ~Jest line of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of said
Block 6 to the Southwest corner of Block 6, thence Southeast-
erly and Northeasterly along the boundary lines of said Block
6 to the Northeast corner of Lot 2 of said Block 6, thence
Northerly to the Southeast corner of Lot 9 of Block 26 of the
Original Plat of Charleston, thence North and along the West
margin of Cambrian Avenue to the Northeast corner of Block 23,

the place of beginning.

Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of Winfield Avenue
thirty (30) feet Northwesterly from the Northerly line of
bridge, thence Westerly and parallel with said bridge to the
government Meander line of the Easterly side of Port
Washington Narrows, thence Southeasterly and along said .~

Lots 4 and 5 of Block l0 of the Original Plat of Decatur, thence
Northeasterly along said Lot line and said lot line extended to
its intersection with the Southwesterly margin of Pitt Avenue,

Southeast corner of Lot 3 of Block V of said Plat of Decatur,
thence East to the Southeast corner of Lot l0 of Block 5,
thence North to the South margin of East llth Street, thence
Northwesterly to the Southeast corner of Lot 9 of Realty
Investment and Loan Company's First ~ddition, thence North
120 feet to the Northeast corne~~ of Lot ll of said addition,

Section 2. All other portions of the City of Bremerton not described in
Section i shall be designated as No. 2 Fire Zone. Permits shall be issue~ for
the erection, construction or moving of buildings or structures within or into
Fire Zone No. 1.
Section 3. Whenever any property adjacent to any No. 1 Fire Zone shall be
re-zoned as a Commercial C-1 Zone, such area so re-zoned shall immediately and
automatically be included in and become a part of such No. i Fire Zone, and
that Sections l, 2 and 3 of Ordinance No. 142Z be repealed.

Section 4. That an emergency exists affecting the public peace, health,
safety and welfare and that this ordinsmce shall take effect immediately
follow~fng passage and publication.
PASSED UNANI~.~OUSLY this 9th day of November, 1944, by the City Commission
of the City of Bremerton in regular session assembled, signed by the l~ayor
and attested to by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage.
