AN ORDINANCE declaring the extension of the Bremerton city limits to
include certain portions of State Highways No. 21 and No. 2lB lying adjacent
to or within the present city limits of the City of Bremerton to be necessary
to the public peace, health and safety and for a municipal purpose, and extend-
ing the Bremerton city limits to include such portions of State Highways No.
21 and No. 2lB, the same being hereinafter fully described.
THE CITY OF BRENERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the following described portions of State Highways No. 21
and No. 2lB lie adjacent to or within the city limits of the City of Bremerton
and no official action has heretofore been taken to incorporate the same within
the city limits; that for the purpose of law enforcement and police supervision
and at the request of and with the consent of the Washington State Highway Patro
and the Washington State Department of Highways, it is necessary to the public
peace, health and safety and for municipal purposes, to extend the Bremerton
city limits so as to include the following described portions of State Highways
No. 21 and No. 2lB.
Section 2. That the map of the city of Bremerton is hereby changed and
the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton are hereby extended to include
the following described portions of State Highways No. 21 and No. 2lB, lying
in Kitsap County, Washington:
All of State Highway No. 2lB or ~larlow Avenue lying
in the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 13, Township 24 N of Range i East,
All of State Highway No. 2lB lying in the ~outh half
of the Southwest quarter of Section 12 not inc].uded
in the present City limits, Township 24 N of Range 1
East W. ~.
All of State Highway No. 21 lying in the Southeast
quarter of Section 10, Township 24 N. of Range i East,
All of State Highway No. 21 lying in the Northwest
quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest
quarter of Section 15, Township 24 N. ela Range i East,
All of State Highway No. 21 lying in the Southeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section l~, Township 24 N. of Range I East,
W.~.
situate in Kitsap County, Washington.
Section b. That sn emergency exists which affects the public peace, health
and safety of the city of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall take effect
immediately on passage and publication.
PASSED UNANI~IOUSLY by ~he City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by' the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage,
this 25th day of October, 1944.
