~ction 1. GENERAL FUND:

Section 3. 'CEMETERY:
That a tax of .188 mill on the total valuation of the taxable property of
the City of Bremerton, assessed at $9

located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton, for cemetery
purposes In the city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected in the

of Kitsap County.
Section 4. LIBRARY:
That a tax of 1.980 mills on the total valuation of the taxable property of
the city of Bremerton, assessed at $9,092,367.00, said tax ~o~ting to
$18,000.00, be and .the s~e is hereby levied against all of the taxable property
loc. ated?%ithin th9 c~rpormte limits of the city of Bremerton, for library
purposes in ~e city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected in the yea
1945, the s~e to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of
Kitsap Co~ty.
Section 5. PARKS:
That a tax of 1.594 mills on the total valuation of the taxable property
of the City of Bremerton, assessed at $9,092,367.00, said tax amo~ting to
$14,490.00, be ~d the s~e is hereby levied against all of the taxable p~perty
located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton, for parks and
playfields in the city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected in the
year 1945, the s~e to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasure
of ~tsap Co~ty.
Section 6. RECREATION:
That a t~ of 1.914 ~lls on the total valuation of the taxable p~perty
of the city of Bremerton, assessed at $9,09S,36~.00, said tax ~o~ting
$17,406.00, be and the s~e is hereby levied against all of the taxable property
located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton, for recreation
purposes in the city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected in
year 1945, the same to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treas~e
of Kitsap County.
Section 7. RECREATION E~ERG~CY WARRANTS:
That a tax of 2.148 mills on the total valuation of the taxable property
of the city of Bremerton, assessed at $9,092,~67.00, said tax ~ounting to
$19,530.00, be and the s~e ts hereby levied against all ofthe taxable property
located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton, for recreation
emergency warrants in the city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected
in the year 1945, the s~e to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the
Treasurer of Kitsap Co~ty.
Section 8. FIR~'S P~SION:
That a tax of .500 mill on the total valuation of the taxable property of
the city of Br~erton, assessed at $9,092,367.00, said tax ~ounting to $4,546.0~
for the purpose of replenishing the f~d known as the "Firemen's Pension Fund"
of the city of Bremerton, be and the s~e is hereby levied against all of the
taxable property of the city of Bremerton, for the year 1944, to be collected
in the year 1945, the s~e to be carried on the tax rolls ~d collected by the
Treasurer of Kttsap Co~ty.

Section 9. PIRE HALL BOND REDF~PTION:
That a tax of 1.$01 mills on the total valuation of the taxable property
of the city of Bremerton, assessed at $9,092,Z67.00, said tax amounting to
$16,380.00, for the payment of outstanding Fire Hall Bonds of the city of
Bremerton and interest thereon, be and the same is hereby levied against all of
the taxable property located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton
which tax is levied for the year 1944, to he collected in the year 1945, the same
to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 10. SEWER BOND REDENPTION:
That a tax of .317 mill on the total valuation of the taxable property of
the city of Bremerton, assessed at $9,092,367.00, said tax amounting to ~2,880.00
for the payment of outstanding Sewer Bonds of the city of Bremerton and interest
thereon, be and the same is hereby levied against all of the taxable property
located within the corporate limits of the city of Bremerton, which tax is levied
for the year 1944, to be collected in the year 1945, same to be carried on the
tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 11. APPROVING ASSESSMENT ROLL OF KITSAP COUNTY:
That the assessment roll as made by the County Assessor of Kitsap County,
W~shington, and .reviewed by the County Commissioners of said County, assessing
property values as a basis for taxes, for the year 1944, to be collected in the
year 1945, in which said roll the taxable property in the city of Bremerton is
~ssessed at $9,092,367.00, be and the said assessment roll is hereby approved as
the assessment roll for the levying of municipal taxes for the city of Bremerton.
Section 12. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following passage and publication as provided by law.
APPROVED on first reading by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, this
llth day of October, 1944.
PASSED on second reading by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signe
by the Nayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage,
this 18th day of October, 1944.
