AN 0R'DINANCE amending subsection 1, Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1553, of
the City of Bremerton, and providing for the building of commercial, buildings in
C-1 Commercial One Ddstricts, on property where a dwelling exists.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That subsection l, Section 6, Ordinance No. 1553, of the
City of Bremerton be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
1. Any use permitted in the residential districts
provided regulations pertaining thereto, as
heretofore provided are complied with, namely,
site, area, open space, yards, height limit and
permits; provided however, that where a dwelling
exists on a lot in a C-1 CommerCial One District,
a commercial building may be built on the same
lot after hearing and approval by the Commission,
providing the proposed commercial building does
not come closer than ten feet to the existing
dwelling and the erection of such commercial
building will not be detrimental to the health,
safety and general welfare of the occupants of
such dwelling.
Section 2. An emergency exists affecting the peace, health and safety
of the City of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage and publication.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage thisl4th day
of June, 1944.
