AN ORDINA~TCE amending Ose and Area ~'iaps of Ordinance No. 1553 of the ~ity
of Bremerton, and declaring an emergency.

Section !. That pursuant to ~{esolution No. 4 of the ~ity ~lannin~ Con'~isslon,
the Ose and Area ~aps of Ordiaance No. i~Z sha]! be amended in conformity w~th
Section t4 thereof, as follows:
(a) The South 120 feet of Lots 1,2,~,4 of Block 2, and all of Lo~s 15 to
20 inclusive, end ~hat part of Lots 14 and 21, within the City limits of
Block 1, Goodfellow's i~avy Yard Tracts shall be re-zoned as a co-~ercial
zone, and
(b) Lots 6 to 17 ~nclusive, _$1cok 4, and that part of bloc~ 6, lying
of the East line of Lot l, Slcok 6, all tn Anderson's Bayview Addition,
shall be re-zoned'as R~ residential zone; and
(c) Lots 1~ to 21 inclusive, Block 9 and the North 15 feet of Lot 27 ant all
of Lots 28 to ~4 inclusive, Block 9, Town of ~b~rleston, shall be re-
zoned as a commercial zone; and
(d) Lots $1 to Z5 ffnclusive, Slock 6, 1st Addition to Charleston, shall be
rezoned as a co~r~orcial zone; and
(e) All of Lot 6, S!oc~ $, and the North 95.51 feet of Lot 7, of 31ock
of ~arren Smith's Acre Tracts of Bremerton, %;~ashington, and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
Beginning at the property corner on the ~ast l~iargin line of '~arren Avenue
and the South margin l~ne of 17th Street, rtmning ~hence East al. cng the
South margin of 17th ~treet 27~.95 feet to the ~est margin of Elizabeth
Street, thence South along the ~est margin line of Elizabeth Street a
distance of 222.39 feet, thence ~est a distance of 273.93 feet to
East mart. in li~.e of ~auren Avenue, thence North ~ong the East margin
line of Warren Avenue to the place of beginning, shall be re-zoned as s.
cornmerical C 1 zone.
(f) Beginning at the Southeast corner of Seventh Street and P~rk Avenue;
thence East 239 feet; thence South 100 feet; thence ~lest 239 feet to
Park ~venue, thence North along Park ~venue to the point of beginning;
and
Beginning at the ~orthesst corner of Seventh Street and Park Avenue;
thence East along Seventh Street to McKenzie Street; thence North along
McKenzie Street 120 feet; thence ~est 228.5 feet more or M ss to Park
Avenue; thence South along ~ark Avenue to thc co!hr of beginning, Kitsap
Cowry, ~ashington, shall be rezoned as a Co~ercial C. 1 zone.
Section ~. An emergency exists and this Ordinance is necessary for the
i~ediate preservation of the oublic peace, health, welfare and safety of the
citizens of the Sity of 6remerton, and the same shall take effect immediately
following passage an.'~ publication.
PASSED ~antmously by the City Council of She ~ity of Bremerton, signed by
the fvlayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authen~icasion of such passage, this
15th 5ay of March, 1944.
