AN ORDINANCE providing for the appropriation of $2,258.63 from the
State Aid-Public Libraries Fund, providing for the expenditure thereof and
declaring an emergency:
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City Treasurer of the City of Bremerton has received
a voucher from the State Auditor in the sum of $2,258.63 from the State Public
Libraries fund, which funds are paid to the City of Bremerton pursuant to the
provisions of Chapter 232, Laws of 1945 and which funds are for the purpose
of assisting and supplementing service of the Bremerton Public Library.
Section 2. That a public emergency exists and that the said emergency
could not have been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year
1945, and particularly it could not have been foreseen that the 1945
Legislature would make provisions for the assistance of public libraries.
Section 3~ That the sum of $2,238.63 is hereby appropriated for the use
of the Buemerton City.Library from the Library Fund, which sum shall be expende
as follows:
Salaries & Wages;
i Clerk @ $150.00 ............. . .$300.00
I Clerk ~ 30.00 . . . ............ 90.00
i Clerk @ 20.00 . . _ . .._ . . 60.00
Maintenance & Operatic.n:
Adult education, printing, etc ...... . . . 300.00

Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to
publish a copy of this ordinance in the official city newspaper immediately
following the approval of this ordinance on first reading.
Section 5. If approved on first reading, this ordinance shall be read
for final passage at the meeting of the City Council one week after the date
of its first reading.
Section 6. That an emergency exists affecting the peace, health, safety
and general welfare of the City of Bremerton and this Ordinance shall become
effective immediately following final passage and publication.
APPROVED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton on
first reading, this 31st day of October, 1945.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage,
this 7th day of November, 1945.
