AN ORDINANCE annexing certain territory hereinafter described to and makin~
it a part of the City of Bremerton, pursuant to the vote of the inhabitants of
said territory at a special election held in Manette and Sheridan Precincts, on
March 20, 194§, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the residents of the territory hereinafter described at a
special election held on March 20, 1945, in Manette and Sheridan Precincts,
Kitsap County, Washington, for the purpose of voting upon the question of annex-
ation, have voted in favor of annexation to the City of Bremerton by a vote of
222 Votes for annexation to 78 votes against annexation, and the election board
of Kitsap County, Washington, has certified the results of such election to the
City Council of the City of Bremerton, as by law provided.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Bremerton deems it wise and
expedient to take and annex said contiguous territory to the City of Bremerton,
and the said territory, being legally described as follows, is hereby annexed to
and made a part of the City of Bremerton, and is hereby incorporated within the
city limits of the City of Bremerton:
All lands in the North one-half of the North one-half of Section
Township 24 North of Range i East, W.M. lying East of the present
City Limits of the City of Bremerton (such City Limits being the
East boundary line of Bremerton Garden Tracts and the East boundary
line of Eastpark Housing Project), also, all lands in Section 12,
Township 2& North of Range l, East, W.M. lying East and South of
the present City Limits of the City of Bremerton, all in Kitsap
County, Washington.
Section 3. That an emergency exists, affecting the public peace, health,
safety and general welfare, and this ordinance sha~l take effect immediately
following passage and publication, as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this ~Sth day
of March, 1945.
