AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bremerton levying both general and special
municipal taxes against alt of the taxable property within 'the city lim[ts of
the City of Bremerton for the year 1946 and approving the assessment roll made
by the Assessor of Kltsap County therefor, to be collected in the year 1947.
THE CITY 0F BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. GENIAL FUND: That a tax of 7.548 mills on the total
valuation of the t~able p~perty of the City of Bremerton, assessed at
~I0,618,590.00, said tax amounting to ~80,149.00, be and the s~ne is hereby
levied against all of the taxable property located within the corporate limits
of the City of Bremerton, for General Fund for m~nicipal purposes for the year
1946, to be collected in the year 1947, the same to be carried on the tax
and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 2. CE~TERY: That a tax of .412 mill on the total valuation
of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton, assessed at .;~!0,6!8,590.00,
said tax ~ount'lng to :~4,370.00, be and the s~te is hereby levied against all
of the taxable property located within the corporate limits of the City of
Bremerton, for cemetery purposes in the City of Bremerton, for the year 1946
to be collected in the year 1947, the s~e to be carried on the tax rolls and
collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 3. LIBRARY: That a tax of 4.406 mills on th~ total valuation
of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton, assessed at ~i0,618,590.00,
said tax amounting to ~46,780.00, be smd the same is hereby levied against
all of the taxable property located within the corporate limits of the City
of Bremerton, for library purposes in the City of Bremerton, for the year
1946, to be collected in the year 1947, the s~e to be carrie5 on the t~ rolls
and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 4. PAR~: That a tax of 1.597 mills on the total valuation of
the taxable p~perty of the City of Bremerton, assessed at ~10,616,590.00,
said tax amounting to ~16,950.00, be ~d the s~e is hereby levied against all
of the taxable property located within the corporate limits of the City
Bremerton, for parks mhd playfields in the City of Bremerton, for the year
1946 to be collected in the year 1947, the same to be carried on the ta~
rolls and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 5. FI~MEN'S PENSION: That a tax of .500 mill on the total
valuation of tke taxable property of the City of Bremerton, assessed at
'.~10,618,590.00, said tax amounting to ~5,309.00, for the purpose of replenish-
i~tg the fund kno~ as the "Firemen's ~enslon Fund" of the City of ~remerton,
be and the same is hereby levied against all of the t~able property of the
City of Bremerton, for the year 1946 to be collected in the year 1947, the
s~ne to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of ~itsap
Cour, ry.
Section 6 ].943 SEWER REF~fNDINO BO~.DS: That a t~ of 537 mill on tk.e
total valuation of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton, assessed at
:$10,~18,590.00, said tax amounting to .~5,700.00, for the payment of outstand-
ing 1943 Sewer Refunding Bonds of the City of Bremerton ~d intere~t thereon,
be and the same is hereby levied against all of the taxable property located
within the corporate limits of the City of Bremerton, which tax is levied for
the year 1945 to be collected in the year 1947, s~e to be carried on the tax
rolls m~ collected by the Treasurer of ~itsap Comity.
Section 7. APPROVING ASSESS~NT ROLL FOR K!TSAP COUNTY: That the
assessment roll, ss made by the County Assessor of Kitsap County, Washington,
and reviewed by the County Commissioners of said County, assessing property
values as a basis for taxes, for ~e year 1946 to be collected in the year
1947, In which said roll the taxable p~perty in the City of Bremerton is
assessed at ~10,618,590.00, be and the said assessment roll is hereby approved
as the assessment roll for the levying of municipal taxes for the City of
Bremer ton.
Section 8. This ordinance shall be in full force ~d effect i~ediately
following passage and publication as p~mvlded by law.
APPROVED on first reading, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
on this llth day of October, 1945.
PASSED on second reading by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such
passage, this 21st day of Octob~,~:9.~
