AN ORDINANCE amending Section 17 of Ordinance No. 1259 of the City of Bremerton,
entitled: "An Ordinance relating to the regulation of traffic on the public streets
of the City of Bremerton; providing for the purchase, installation, regulation and
control of parking meters, and establishing and defining parking meter zones, author-
izing the method of payment for parking meters and the installation thereof exclusively
from the receipts obtained from their operation, requiring deposit of coins in parking
meters for the parking of cars adjacent thereto in parking meter zones;providing penal-
ties for violation of the provisions thereof; creating a 'Parki~ Meter Fund, and'declar-
ing an emergency." and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRF~RTON D~£S ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 17 of Ordinance No. 1L59, entitled as fully set forth
in the title to this ordinance, be and the said Section 17 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 17. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00, together with the
costs of such action or by imprisomuent in the city jail for a period
not exceeding ninety days or by both suc~ fine and imprisonment.
Section 2. That an emergency exists affecting -the public peace, health and safety,
and this ordinance shall take effect immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor, and at-
tested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, th~s 15th day of April,
