AN OPdD~CE amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. l~Th passed by the City Com-
mission of the City of Bremerton on the 17th day of June, 19~2, entitled:
"An ordinance providing forihe licensing of taxicab drivers in the City of
Bremerton, and establishing procedure for the revocation or suspension of such
license; repealing Ordinance No. 11~6, and providing penalties for the violation
hereof," ~nd declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BR~vfiF~RTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. lh74 of the City of Bremerton,
entitled as fully set forth in the title to this ordinance, shall be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
ction 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a taxicab ~'or hire
in of Bremerton without first having applied for and received and
being .lder of a valid subsisting taxicab driver's license in the City
of Bremerton, ept that the Chief of Police may in proper cases pending the
necessary period ation and report to the City Council under the
procedure outlined in .ons 3 and ~ of this ordinance, grant to a person

driver's licensej~hall be on a by the City Clerk, shall be for
a period not exceeding thirty days d ate of its issuance, and shall have

revoked, picked up and cancelled by the Police inm~ediately following
fo~al action on the permit holder's application' driver's license by tk~
City Council of the City of Bremerton.
Section~2~ An emergency exists affecting the public peace, health and safety
in the City of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall take effect i~ediately following
passage and publication.
PASSED unamunously by the City Council of the CitY of Bremerton, signed by the
~ayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 13th
day of February, 19k6.
