AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1553, entitled, "An ordinance to ref~late and
restrict the location and use of buildings and the use of land within the City of Bremerton
to limit the height of buildings; to prescribe building lines and the size of yards and
other open spaces and for these purposes to divide the city into districts, and declaring
an emergency"; by adding Section 23, and declaring an emergency:
THE CITY OF BRE}~RTON DOES O~eAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1553 be amended by adding thereto Section 23, to
read as follows:
"Section 23. That rr~gardless of the provisions contained in Section 6 of Ordinance
No. 1~53 the height 1Lmit if fire proof constructed buildings in any C-1 Coumerciai-One
District shall not exceed a height of 85 feet, nor 8 stories. The limitation contained
in Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1~53 regardin{ the height of such building shall not apply
to any fire proof constructed building."
Section 2. That this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the peace,
health~ safety and general welfare of the City of Bremerton~ and this Ordinance shall
become effective immediately following passage and publication.
