AN ORDINANCE eliminating the position of one cashier in the
Treasurer's Department, transferring the appropriations therefore to
Extra Help, transferring the appropriation for Part-time Parking l¢Ieter
Collector from the Treasurer's Department to the Police-Traffic Depart-
ment, and declaring an emergency.
T}~E CITY OF BREI~IERTON DOES ORDAIN
Section 1. From and after the effective date of this ordinance
the position of one cashier in the Treasurer's Department of the City
of Bremerton is abolished ~d the appropriation therefor in the 1948
budget shall be transferred to ~tra Help for said Treasurer's Depart-
ment, to be disbursed at the rate of 75 cents to $1.50 per hour.
Section 2. The appropriation in the 1948 budget for Parking
~eter Collector, half-time, in the Treasurer's Department in the
s~ of ~1,410.00 shall be transferred to the Police-Traffic Depart-
ment and combined with the appropriation for half-time maintenance
man - $1,410.00, and shall thereafter be designated "Collector ~d
Maintenance }.~an", ~220.00 to $255.00 per month- $2,820.00.
Section ~. This ordin~ce is necessary for the preservation
of the public health and safety and welfare, and shall take effect
i~ediately upon passage and publication.
Passed ~animously by the City Co~cil, signed by the }~{ayor,
~d attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
