AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for the repair of wharves and
declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRFAgERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Due to causes which could not reasonably have been
foreseen at the time oi° making of the budget for the calendar year, it
has become necessary to make certain repairs and maintain the First
Street dock; that there has been a change in tenants and such repairs
and maintenance have become necessary in order to serve the needs of
said tenants and preserve for the City of B~emerton the revenue from
the rentals thereof. An emergency exists accordingly, and the City
Council estimates that an expenditure of $800.00 is required in order
to relieve the emergency so created.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for emergency repairs
and maintenance of the First Street dock the sum of $800.00 and the
Clerk is instructed to issue warrants in that amount in payment for
such repairs and maintenance upon presentation of vouchers approved
by the majority of the City Council.
Section 3. This ordinance is necessary for the preservation of
the public health, safety and welfare of the City of Bremerton and
shall take effect immediately upon passage and publication.
APPROVED unanimously by the City Council this 4th day of October,
194V.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
llth day of October, 1947.
