AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for maintenance of street equip-
ment and declaring an emergency.
~HE.CIt~ OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN
Sec. 1. The 1947 budget contains an appropriation of $5,000.00
from the Street Fund for maintenance and operation and repair of auto-
mobiles and equipment, which appropriation as the result of unforeseen
circumstances, has now be~n exhausted and additional funds are required
during the balance of the year for essential maintenance and operation
of street department automobiles and equipment.
Sec. 2. That a public emergency exists in said city, and it is
estimated that an expenditure of $6,000.00 during the balance of the
calendar year will be required to relieve such emergency said emergency
consisting of essential maintenance and operation of automobiles and
equipment belonging to the street department.
Sec. 3. There is hereby appropriated from the street fund for
such maintenance and operation of automobiles and equipment of the
street department the sum of $6,000.00, said sum to be payable upon
· .. receipt of vouchers in prgper form approved by a majority of the City

Sec. A. An emergency exists which affects the public peace,
health and safety of the City of Bremerton and this ordinance is to
take effect immediately following passage and publication.
APPROVED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremer-
ton on first reading on the gth day of July, lg47.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 16th day of July,
