AN ORDINANCE prescribing annual licenses for cats and bicycles and -am_end-
ing Ordinance No. 1212, entitled, "An ordinance of 'the City of Bremerton ~ro-
viding for the licensing of cats kept or maintained within the city limits of
the City of Bremerton"; Ordinance No. 1~81, entitled, "0r~inance relatiz~g to
bicycles; regulating the purchase, sale and use t[~ereof; providing for the is-
suing and revocation of licensew; ~d prescribing pemalties; snm declaring an
emergency.
THE CITY 0F BRE~,~RTON ~S 0R~AIU:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordi~nance No. 1~1~ entitled "An ordinance of
the City of Bremerton providing for the licensing of cats kept or maintained
within the city l~mits of the City of Bremerton", be and the s~e is hereby
~nended to read as follows:
"Sec. 1. License fee for cats. That a license fee or tax is hereby levied
against every cat maintained within the city limits of the City of Bremerton
and the owner of every cat kept or maintained within the city limits of the City
of Dreme~to~, shall pay a license to the City Treasurer of the City of Bremerton
for each of said cats so kept and ~aintained as follows:
For each male cat per year 75~
For sterilized female cat, per year-
For eve~ unsterilized female cat, per year- -~!.25
Section ~. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. l[~S1 entitled, "Ordinance re-
lating to b~c[oles[~ regulat[~ng the purchase, sale a~d use thereof; provi~in~: for
the issuing and revocation of !ic~nses and prescribing penalties", be and the
s~ne is hereby ~ended to rea~ as follows:
"Sec. 1. Bicycle license required. It shall be unlawful for any person to
operate or, being the owner thereof, to permit the operation of any bicycle
without a valid and subsisting liceuse therefor, to be k!._~,m~ as a
Lice~so", the fee for which is hereby fixed in tl~e s~ of Fifty (50~) cents for
each calendar year.
Section ~. That an emergency exists which affects the public peace, health
and safety of the City of 'Bremerto~,' and this ordinance shall take effect
mediately on passage and publication.
