AN 0~II~NGE creating the State Development - Local Improvement District
No. 229 fund, directing transfers to said ~nd and providing for a method of
disbursement and declaring an emergency.
~i~ GITY 0F BREiV~RT0~ DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. The street f~d b~get for the ~ale~ar year includes an approp-
riating of ~118,000 for certain public works therein desisted "Capitol Hill
Sewer"; of the total appropriation ~39,000 is to be paid from the street i~nd,
$20,000 from local improvement district assess~nts, a~ $59,000 from ~nds
contributed by t~ ~ashington State Develop~nt B~rd, pursuit to C~pter 255,
~ws of 1945.
Section 2. In order to comply with the laws of said State and t~ rmles of
said Board, there is hereby created in t~ City of Bre~rton a ~nd to be known
and designated as the "State Developm~t - L.I.D. 229 F~d". The treasurer is
directed to tra~fer to said ~nd upon effective date of this. ~dinance, the s~
of $39,000 from the street ~nd, and upon collection of such assessments or sale
of any bonds issued in payment for said imp~ve~nt, ~ place the proceeds in
said fund. The treas~er is ~rther directed upon receipt of any funds from the
Board for said public works 'to place the s~e in sam "State Development Local
~provement District No. 229 ~nd~ and pay warr~ts issued on said fund only
after written authori~ ~s been received from the Board.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective to tra~fer the appropriation
of $118,000 hereinabove referred to from the street fund, ~d no further
expenditure shall be made from said fund and charged to said appropriation.
Sectlon 4. This ordinance is necessa~ for the preservation of the public
health a~ in order to sec~e said i~nds from t~ State Develop~nt B~rd, ~d
shall take effect i~ediately foll~ing fin~ passage ~d publication.
