AN ORDINANCE providing for payment of the cost of a special election
to be held on November 2, 1948 and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY 0P BREIt,~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. The budget for the calendar year contains no appropriations
for payment of the cost of a special election to be held on November 2, 1948
for the purpose o±' voting upon a proposed charter amendment providing for a
council-manager form of goverz~nent for the City of Bremerton. An emergency
exists which could not have been forseen at the time of preparation of said
budget and it is estimated that an expenditure of ~00.00 will be necessary
in order to relieve said emergency.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for payment of the cost of said
special election the sum of .~$$00.00 as follows:
Publication of Proposed Charter ~nendment ~2500.00
City's share of election expense to be determined
by ~he County Auditor 1000.00
Total ~S~00.00
Section ~. This ordinance is necessary for the preservation o~' ~he pub-
lic health, safety and welfare and shall take effect immediately upon passage
and publication.
APPROVED on first reading this let day of November, 1948.
PASSED unanimously on second reading by the City CoLu~cil of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the ~v[ayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 10th day of November,
