An ordinance relating to buildings and/or structures in the City of
Bremerton, Washington and adding a new section to Ordinance No. 1418 to be
known and designated as Section 2205 (a).
THE CITY OF BREI~ERTON ~DOESOR~AIN
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1418 be and 'the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto a new section to be known and designated as Section 2~°05-A,
and t~t said section shall read as follows:
"Section 2~95-A. Exterior walls of all type V buildings having a floor
area of four hundred square feet (400 sq, ft,) or more, including additions,
having one story only, may b e constructed with exterior walls and bearing
partitions of two inch by three inch (2"x3") studs placed sixteen inches (16")
center to center held in position by let-in ribbons of three-eighths inches
(3/8") by five and one-half inches (5~") plywood glued and nailed to the studs.
Fire blockin~ shall be provided at mid-height of each panel. ~xterior wall
panels of such buildings may be of three-eighth inch (3/8',~ exterior grade ply-
wood glued and nailed to the framing with three-~ighth inch (3/8"~i gypsum wall-
board or equal glued and nailed to the opposite side of the framing to provide
the interior wall surface. The foundation, rafters, joists, etc., of such
building shall in all other respects comply with the requirements of this
co de."
Approved on first reacting this llth day of February, 1948.
