ance No. 1459 and Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1459, as ~a~nded.
THE CITY OF BRE~;~ERTON DOES ORDAIN
Sec. 1. That Section 12 of 0rdinanc~ No. 1~8~, dated April 1, 19~2 be
~d the s~e is hereby ~mend~d to read as follows:
"Sec. 12. Restrictions on parking, as her~in set forth, and the require-
ments contained herein for the deposit of coins in parking meters, shall not
be ~ffective on S~days and on the following holioays: January 1, February 22,
May ~Oth, July ~th, th~ first Monday in September, D~cember 25th and th~ day
d~signated and set aside by the President of the United Statms as Thanksgiving
Day."
Sec. ~. That S~ction 16 of Ordinance }~o. l~Sg, as ~ended, by Ordinance
No. 16~0, dated February 20, 1~6, be and th~ s~ is hereby ~nend~d to r~ad
as follows:
"Sec. 16. The captain or officer in charge of the Traffic Division of
the Polic~ Department shall b~ th~ collector of all money deposited in parking
m~ters and for that purpose shall be a deputy of th~ City Treasurer. Ail
money so d~posited shall be r~moved from each meter by the collector and im-
mediately plac~d in a suitable locked container from which such money cannot
be withdrawn, except by use of a key which shall be held by the City Treasurer.
Th~ City Treasurer shall be r~sponsible for all such money after such con-
tain~rs are d~li~red into his possession. Ail such money shall be d~posited
by the Oity Treasurer in the city fun~s or accounts in conformance with the
provisions annually made in the official budget of the City of Bremerton ~d
shall b~ disbursed and ezpendmd in conformanc~ with the provisions of the
said official city budget."
Approved on first reading by the City Council this 21st day of J~uary,
1948.
Passed on second reading by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such
passage this 28th day of January, 1948.
