AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for payment of a judgment against the City of Bremer-
ton not provided in the budget for the current year.
THE CITY OF BREak, TON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That subsequent to the adoption of a budget for the calendar yea~, the City
of Bremerton as defendant in a certain action entitled "June ~. Bulette, administrat~ix of the
Estate of James W. Bulette, deceased, plaintiff, vs. City of Bremerton", No. 25679, records
of the Superior Court of Kitsap County, ~ashington, suffered a judgment in the amount of
582.6~ of which the sum of $10,0OO.OO and all cou~t costs have been paid by the ~nsurance
carrier for the City of Bremerton, leaving unpaid a balance in the amount of $15,583,6~ for
which a ~arrant has been dra~ upon the City of Bremerton; that this expenditure could no%
have been foreseen when the budget was prepared and tY~at an emergency exists by reason of
lack of funds to pay such judgment; that %he sum of ~15,583.6~ is hereby appropriated from
the General Fund - ~iscellaneous: Sec. 13A Judgments, in said amount.in order to relieve
such emergency.
Section 2. That an emergency exists which affects the public peace, health and safety
of the City of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall be effective immediately' upon passage and
publication.

PASSED on second reading by the City~ Council of the City of Bremerton~ signed by-the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 21st day of
December, 19h9.
