: AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for LocaI Improvement
District No. 235, providing for the improvement of UNIT I - C~_low Avenue between Ninth
Street and Fifteenth Street, UNIT II - Montgomery Avenue between Ninth Street and Fifteenth
Street, UNIT III - Olympic Avenue between Burwell Street and Sixth Street as in said
ordinance described; providing for the levying and assessing of the costs and expenses
thereof against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the boundaries
of said improvement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and establish-
ing a special fund therefor, and fix'lng the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINFD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 235 provide.rig
for the improvement of UNIT I - Callow Avenue between Ninth Street and Fifteenth Street,
UNIT II - ~ontgomery Avenue between Ninth Street and Fifteenth Street, UNIT III - Olympic
Avenue between Burwell Street and Sixth Street by cleaving, grubbing, grading for and
construction of concrete sddewalks, curbs and gutters and providing for dradnage, together
with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to
make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the plans nod specifications
on file in the office of the City Clerk and as provided by and described i~ Ordinance No.
1789, be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as show, ~r, sa~d
assessment roll~ is specially benefited by said improvements, and that there be and hereby
is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and other property contained
in saJ~d improvement district as shown ~n s~id roll, including the property belonging to the
City of Bremerton, the respective smounts in said roll set against each parcel or lot of
a,d/or part thereo~, and other property between the termini of said improvement abutting
upon, adjacent or proximate to said street~ and such a~,ounts so assessed are hereby declared
to be first lien against each parcel or lot of land or part thereo£, against whO.ch the same
is assessed ~n said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this said improvement there
established a specdal fund to be kno~ and called "Local Improvement Fund, Ddstrict No. 235".
Bonds, bearing interest at h%~shal]_ be issued in serial numbers from one to 201~, both ~ncl-
usive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected port,on of said special
assessment due or owing for the uncollected portion in said district on the date hereinafter
fixed, the same to be in deno~,inations of Two Hundred Dollars each, except the first which
shall be for such fractional part of Tv~ Hundred Dollars as maybe remaining due and unpaid
on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 235".
Section ~. That the 29th day of April, 19~9, be and the same is hereby fLxed for the
date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on account of said improvement.
Section ~. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days from
and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 9th day of ~arch, 19~9.
