AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming, the assessment roll for Local Improve
ment District No. 236, proviming z'or the improvement oi' Unit 1 - Ohio Avenue
from Thirteenth Street to North end; Unit 11 - Seventeenth Street between Ohio
Avenue and High Avenue as in sai~ ordinance described; providing for the levyi~
and assessing oI' the costs anm expenses thereof against the parcels anm lots of
land between the termini and within the boundaries of saic~ improvement district
providing for the collection thereof; creatin~ an~ establishing a special fund
therefor an~ fixing the date I'or the issuance o~' bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED B)~ THE CITY COUNCIL 0P~ THE CITY 0F BREi¥flERTON as follows:
Section 1. That the assessment roll l~or Local Improvement District No. 23
providing for the improvement oI' 'Jr_it 1 - Ohio Avenue I'rom T~irteenth Street to
North end; Unit 11 - Seventeenta Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue by
clearing, ~ru~ing, gramin6 I'or an~ construction oi' O' concrete sidewalks, con-
crete curbs s~m gutters and provimin6 for drainage, together with the doini~: of
any and all other worx in connection ti~erewith as may bo necessary to make such
improvement a complete job,,all in accordance with the plans an~ specii'ications
on file in the office oI' the City Clerk and as provided by and described in 0rd
insa~ce No. 1V93, be and the same is hereby approved and conI'irmedo
Section 2. That each parcel a~m lot ot' land or part t~ereof, as shown in
ssi0 assessment roll is specially 0enefitem by said improvements, an~ that ther
be sag hereby is assesseu against each parcel anm lot of lan~ and part thereof
and other property contained in said improvement district as shown in sale roll
inclumin6 the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective amoun
in saiu roll set against each parcel or lot oI' and/or part thereof, and other
property between the termini oi' sai~ improvement abutting upon, adjacent or pro
imate to said street, and such amount so assessed are hereby declared to be I'ir
lien against each parcel or lot of land or part taereof, against which the ss~ne
is assessed in sai~ roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose OT' this sai~ improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known an~ called "Local Improvemen
Fund, District No. 236". Bonds, bearing Interest at 4% shall be issued in ser-
ial nurabers from one to llV, both inctasive, or so many as may be necessary to
provide i'or the uncollecte~:i portion of said special assessment uue or owning fo:
the uncollected portion in saiu district on the date hereinaz'ter fixed, the sam
to be in denominations oz' Two Hunmre~ Do±lars each, except ~he first which shal]
be l'or such I'ractional part oz' Two Hundred Dollars as :say be remaining due and
un. paid on sai~ date, payable from said :'Local Improvement Fund, District No. 23
Section 4. That the llth day o~' ~pril, 1~49, be and the same is hereby
fixed I'or the date oI' the issuance aha sale o~~ the bonus to be issued on accoun-
of sai¢i improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty mays
from and ai'ter its passage su~d publication as proviued by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Acting Iv~ayor and attested by the
