AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds ~'or the holming of a spec-
ial election not provimed for in the budget I'or the calendar
year 1950, anm declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~'~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:.
Section 1. That since the adoption oi~ a bumget for the calen-
dar year 1950~ the City Council has by resolution caliem a special
election to be held on November 7~ 19b0, in conjunction wita the gen-
erat election to 0e held on saim date, to consider an initiative pro-
position submitted by petition oI' the electors of the City aha ~hat
it is estimated that an expenditure ct' the amount of One Thousand and
no/lO0 Dollars will be necessary in ormer to pay the necessary and in-
cidental costs o~'holding saim election. That this expenditure
aha ~he necessity there£or could no~ aave been reasonaoiy ~'orseen at
the time of the preparation oI~ ~he oudget and that by reason oI' the
need ~or a special election an emergency exists ana ~here are no
to pay I'or the saia special election; that the sum of One T~ousand
and no/100 Dollars is hereby appropriated for payment o~' the usua±
anm necessary costs~o~' holding such special election.
Section ~. Tha~ an emergency exists wlhich affects the public
peace, hca±th aha sai'ety of the City of' Bremerton an~ vhis ordinance
shall be ef~'ective immedia~eiy upon passage aha publication~
PASSED unanimously by the City Council o~' the City of Bremerton
signed by the ~*~ayor and attested by the City Cler~ ~n authentication
o~' such passage, this 20th day or' Septera'ber,
