AN ORDINANCE vacating certain portions or certain streets situated in
the City
THE CITY OF B~EMERTON FLOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. '~'~at there has been previously filed with the City Oouncil
a petition requesting that certain portions os' certain streets situated in
one City of Bremerton, County cZ' Kitsap, State of Washington, be vacated,
and that a resolution favoring such vacation was adoptem by t~e City Coun-
cil cZ' Bremerton on the ~lst day of J~e, 1950, ~m settin[~ the l~th may
of July, 1950, as the date upon which sai~ petition would be heard and that
notice oI' saim hearing has been posted and given in the ma~er provided by
law.
Section 2. That portions of certain streets in the City of Bremerton,
more particularly mescribed as follows, to-wit:
A strip l0 feet in width on both sides of the following streets:
Lewis Avenue;
Willow Street, Westerly Z'~m Step~enson Avenue to a point 80 feet north
o~' tae intersection with Hill Co~t;
Stephenson Avenue, except the loop at the southerly end oi' street;
Reim Avenue, from Lebo Blvd. north to Stephenson Avenues
J~iper Street, from Clare Avenue west to Callahan Drive, ~d west of
Call.an Drive
Clare Avenue, from Lebo Blvd~ north to the project bo~dary;
Hemlock Street, from Clare Avenue to Call.an Drive, and north from
Callahan Drive to C~re Avenue;
Cherry Avenue, from the extreme southerly enm north to Sheridan Road,
anm the southerly portion connecting with S.S.H. No. 2lB;
Ash Street~ from C~ try Avenue to Callah~ D~ ve;
Chestnut Street, from Cherry Avenue to Schley Blvd.;
Walnut Street, i'rom Sheridan Road to Schley Blvd., ~d from Schley Blvd.
to Call~ Drive;
Fir Street, from Call.an Drive to Magnuson Way, also the loop south of
~agnuson Way;
A strip 5 feet in width on both sides of Ivy Street;
All land lying within the 100 foot right-of-way of the State Second-
ary Highway No. 2lB as dedicated, ~d which is not included in the
right-of-way as oi' record in J~e, 1948, except ~ere the right-of-way
abuts N~icipal Area No.
Farragut Boulevard;
be ~d the s~e hereby are declared vacate~ but the City of Bremerton
does hereby reserve and retain ~ easement for any public utilities includ-
ing sewer an~l water lines, telephone ~d power cables which~ be ~der ~e
surface oI' any of the areas vacated, ~d ~he ~City of Bremerton also retains
the right to exercise ~d grant easements in respect to the areas hereby
vacate~ for the construmtion, repair and maintenance of puoiic utilities ~d
servicesl "
The City Clerk is authorize~ to certify a copy of this ordinance to be
a true an~ ~rrect copy hereoZ' an~ to file the s~e for recording by the
Auditor oi' Ki2sap Co~ty, Washington.
APPR0~D on first rea~ing this 19th day of J~y, 1950.
PASSED on second reading by the City Co~cil cZ' the City oI' Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor ~d attested by the City Cler~ in authentication of such
