AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1668 and providing for the lic-
ensing of automatic vending machines, automatic ~usement devices ~d
manually controlled ~usement devices, Md meclaring an emergency.
THE CITY 07 BREMERTON ~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 5 or Ordinance No. 1668 be md the s~e
herebz~ mended to read as follows:
Section 5. Beginning July l, 1~50, it shall be unlawful
for any person, firm or corporation to operate any auto-
matic ~usement device, or any ~mnually controlled or
operated ~usement device, electric~ly powered or other-
wise, in the City of Bremerton without fzrst having .ob-
tained a license so to do, obtained in the manner here-
inafter set forth ~d without having o0tained from the
City Clerk of the City of Bremerton ~d affixed ~ each
such machine a st~p showing payment of such license fee
and bearing the s~e number as ~e license hereinOefore
referred to. Annual license fees shall be as follows:
For automatic ~usement device, operated
by a one cent coin, $5.00
For m~ually controlled or operated
~usement device, electrically p~wered
or otherwise, operated by a five cent coinlO.O0
For automatic ~usement mevice, operated
by a five cent coin, ~5.00
For automatic ~usemen~ device, operated
by a ten cent coin, 70.00
Fo~ automatic ~usement device, where ~e
price of ~he ~usement sola is more than
ten cents, 150.00
Licenses herein provided for shall be issued only to the person, firm
or corporation operating a business at the particular location where the
device is installed, kept or operated, ~ neither the device nor the
license therei'or may be tr~srerred except in case of a bona fide sale of
such 0usiness.
~ection 2. ~at ~ emergency exists affecting the public peace,
health and safety of the City of Bremerton ~d this ordin~ce shall take
effect immediately following passage and pu01ication.
PASSED UN~NIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, sign-
ed by the Mayor, and attested by ~e City Clerk in authentication of such
passage, this 28th day or'June, 1950.
