AN ORDINANCE AI~4ENDING Section l, Article 24, of Orminance No. l~5V as
amended by Ordinance No. 1454, and amending Section 9 of Ordinance No. 875
as amended by Ordinance No. 1002, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section l, Article 24, of Ordinance No. 1457 as
amended by OrOtnance No. 1464 be, and the seine hereby is amended to read
as follows:
1. Issuance oI' permit.--No plumbing work unless excepted in this sec-
tion shall be undertaken prior to the issuance cZ' a permit therefor by the
Building Department. The Building Department may issue to an inddvidual
not licensed hereunaer a special owner,s permit authorizing said individual
to install, alter, change or repair plumbing in, on, or about a dwelling or'
premises thereabout cz' which the saim inmividual is ~he owner or is purchas-
ing unmer a bona fide real estate contract or is builming to occupy as his
residence. T~e plumbing inspector may require an applicant for an owner's
permit to memonstrate his ability to make such installation.
Where work i'or which a permit is required by this ordinance is altered
or proceeded with prior to oOtaining said permit, the fees speciI'ied in Sec-
tion 3 shall be doubled, but the payment of such double fee shall not reliev~
any persons from fully complying with the requirements of this ordinance in
the execution of the work nor from any other penalties prescribed herein.
No plumbing work authorized by such permit shall be done nor shall the
owner holding such a permit allow any worl¢ to be done except personally by
the owner to whom the permit was issued, except his immediate family aha if
this or any other provision shall be violated, such permit shall be cancel-
led immediately, and the holder be liable to penalty hereinai'ter provided.
All permits shall expire one year from date of issuance unless sooner can-
celled.
Section 2. Application for permit.--Application for permit shall be
made on suitable forms provided by the. Building Department. The applica-
tion shall be accompanied by I'ees in accordance with schedule cz' fees.

E. Yearly license fees~ The yearly license fee shall be $80.00 for a
Naster PlumOer and $8.00 t'or a journeyman plumOer. All licenses issued shall
expire on June ~Oth of each year and may be renewed prior to their expiration
Examination fees shall be ~lO.O0 for journeyman plu~a0ers and ~8.00 for
~aster Plumbers, which fee shall accompany an application for examination.
Examination fees shall not be returned.
Section $. A~ emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary for the
immediate preservation oi~ the public peace, property, health and satiety of
the people of Bremerton and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
following its passage and puOlication.
PASSED UNANINOUSLY by the City Council oi~ the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Nayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage
