AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for salaries anm wages in the Traffic De-
partment in the amount of ~1500.00 not provided for in the budget for the
calendar year, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~JERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That subsequent to the adoption of a budge~ for the cal~n-
dar y~ar 1~0, additional duties w~r~ ass~ed by th~ Traffic D~partm~nt in
maintaining certain transmitters anm mo~i~le ~its for the ~ater Department
of the City of Brem~rton, ana~ t~a~ becaus~ of th~ ass~ption of the addition-
al work and its performance it was necessary to ~mploy extra help in th~
Traffic D~partment during the s~r months for the year 1~0 for street sig~
an~ signal maintenance on th~ streets of th~ City of Brem~rton and that it
will be n~cessary to expen~ th~ s~ of approximately ~1~00.00 to pay for suc~
additional h~lp;~ that a public ~m~rg~ncy ~xists by r~ason of the lack oI~ fun~
to pay for the additional help w~ch could not r~asonably have been I'ores~n
at the time oi~ making the budget; that the s~ of wl~O0.O0 is hereby approp-
riated from the General F~d to th~ Traffic D~partment, Salaries
Extra Help ~1.00 - ~1.~0 per hour, Total ~1~00.00 for the balanc~ of the cal.
enmar year.
Section ~. An emergency exists which aI'fects the public peace, health
an~ safety of the City oi~ Bremerton and this ordinance shall become effectiw
i~ediately upon passage and publication.
