An ORDINanCE accepting and incorporating into the corporate limits
of the City of Bremerton certain land now lying outside the limits of the
City of Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington, and lying contiguous to
said City, and declaring an emergency, and repealing Ordinance No. 18V3.
THE CITY OF BREI~ERTON ~OES ORDAIN:
Section 1. WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owners of more than
seventy-five per cent (75~) in value, according to the assessed value
for taxation, of the property hereinaI'ter described has been filed, with
the City COuncil of the City of Bremerton ano the Council has by motion
directed that notice of a hearing on said petition be given on the 29th
day of March, 1950, at the hour of eleven o,clock A.~., ano that said
notice has been given by publication in the Bremerton Sun, the official
newspaper of the City of Bremerton ant that three copies of said notice
of said hearing have been posted in three public places in and upon the
property petitioned to be annexed, and that a public hearing was held on
the 29th day of March, 1950, and following such public hearing the City
Council of the City of Bremerton has determined to annex the property
described in the petition for annexation.
Section 2. The following described tracts of land are hereby and
by this ordinance adopted and incorporated within and become a part of
the City of Bremerton, to-wit:
Part of Gov. Lots ~ and 8 in Sec. 18, Twp. 2~
North, Range 1 East, W.U_. described as follows:
Beginning at the meander corner to Sections 15
and 18, which is also the Northeast corner of
Government Lot 5, thence South along Section line
to North margin of State Road #P~l; thence Wester-
ly and Northwesterly along North margin of State
Highway No. ~1 to the West line of Government Lot
5; thence continuing Westerly and Northwesterly
along North margin of Highway into Government Lot
~, approximately ~0 feet more or less to the most
Westerly corner of the premises as described' in a
deed dated 8-9-34, executed by ~.ary J. Abrahamson,
a widow, to Oscar ~¥. Liner and Lorene Liner, Hus-
band and wife, recorded 2-5-35 in Voltuue 191 of
Deeds, page 806, under Auditor,s File No. 232954,
records of Kitsap County, Washington; thence North
38°47,53'' East 515.38 feet more or less to meander
line; thence following meander line Easterly and
Southeasterly to the Northeast corner of Government
Lot 5 and the true point of beginning; situate in
Kitsap County, Washington.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 1873 is hereb~~ repealed.
Section 4. An emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health
and saI'ety of the people of Bremerton ano this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect following its passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
