AN ORDINANCE relating 'to games ol~ shuffleboard, shufflebowl,
shufflebowler and shufflelane, amending Ordinance No..1837 as amend-
ed by Ordinance No. 1869 and a~aending Ordinance No. 1869 and declar-
ing an emergency.
T~[E CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1869 amending
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1837 be, and the same hereby is sanended
to read as follows:
"Section 1o It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to operate or maintain for hire any gs~ae of shuffle-
board, shufflebowl, shufflebow±er and/or shufflelane in the City
of Bremerton without having first obtained from the City Clerk a
license to do so. The fee for such license shall be ~10.00 per
year for each shuffleboard, shufflebowl~ shufflebowler and/or shuf-
flelane, and shall be applied for and issued in the n~e of the
person, fi~ or corpo~ation operating the estaOlis~ent in which
such shuffleboard, shufflebowl, shufflebowler and/or shufflelane
is or are maintained, and s[~all be valid only in such establish-
ment. Said license shall not be transferred except in case of a
bona fide sale of the business conducted by such licensee within
such estabtis~ent."
Section 2. An urgency and emergency for the passage of 'this
ordin~ce is hereby ~eclared to, and does exist, and the s~le shall
take effect ~d be in I'orce i~ediately upon its passage and pub-
c'~
li on. -
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Co~cil of the City of Brem-
erton, signed by the },iayor and attested by the City Clerk in auth-
entication oI' such pasaage this 23rd day of February, 1950.
