AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1793 of the City of Bremerton entitl-
ed, "An ordinance to regulate and restrict the location and use of buildings
and the use of land within the City CT' Bremerton; to limit -the height of build-
ings, prescribe the building lines and the size oI' yards and other open spaces
and for these purposes to divide the City into districts; providing for amend-
ments and repealing ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergenc~
by adding thereto a new section to be designated Section 331, and declaring an
emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~IERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1792 passed by the City Co~cil on July
28, 1948, and entitled as above, be anm the s~ae is hereby ~en~ed by adding
thereto a new section to be designated Section 331 and to read as follows:
Section ~31. Side Yard Exception. 0n ~y parcel of land of an average
width of less than fifty (50) feet, which parcel was under one ownership at
the time of the adoption oi~ this ordinance, when the owner thereof owns no
adjoining land, or which parcel is shown as a lot on any subdivision map as
shown by the last conveyance of record prior to November 24, 194~, or as
shown in a bona fide ~recorded deed or real estate contract entered into in
good faith prior to November 24, 1942, as determined by the Co~ission, the
width oi' each side yard may be reduced to ten (10) per cent ot' the width of
such parcel, but in no case shall the width of any such side yard be less
than three (3) feet.
Section 2. An urgency and emergency for the passage of this ordinance
is hereby declared to, ~d does exist, and the same shall take effect and be
in force i~ediately upon its passage and puolication,

by the Mayor and attested by the 0ity Clerk in authentication of such pas-
sage this 17th day of February, 1950.
