AN ORDINANCE relating to games of shuffleboard and shufflebowl, ~end-
lng Ordinance No. 18~7, ~d declaring ~ emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON ~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 18~ be and the s~e here-
by is ~en~em to ~ ead as follows: Section 1. It shall be ~lawful for ~y
person, i~irm or corporation to operate or maintain for hire any game of
shuffleboard and/or shufflebowl in the City of Bremerton without having
first obtained from the City Clerk a license to so do. The fee for such
license shall be ~10.00 per year for each shui~fleboard and/or shufi~lebowl
and shall be applie~ for anm issued in the n~me of the person, firm or cor-
poration operating the est~blis~aent in which such shuffleboard ~d/or
shufflebowl are maintained and shall be valim only in such establis~nent.
Said license shall not be transferred except in case oI~ bona fide sale of
the business conducted by such licensee within such establis~ent.
Section ~. That an emergency exists affecting the public peace, healt
safety and welI'are, and this ordinance shall be effective~ i~aediately fol-
lowing passage anm publication.
PASSED and APPROVED ~animously by the City Co~cil o~' the Ci'oy of
Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentica
tion of such passage this 1st day of February, 1980.
