AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local Im-
provement District No. 246, providing for the improvement oi' Lafayette Ave-
nue from First Street to a point 230 feet North of the centerline of Coontz
Street as in said ordinance described; providing for the.".levying and assess.
ing of the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land
between the termini and within the boundaries of said improvement district
providing for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special
fund therefor, and fixing the date for the issuance bi' bonds in payment the:

THE CITY OF BREMERTON OOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Ahat the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
246, providing for the improvement oZ' LaI'ayette Avenue from First Street to
a point 2§0 feet North of the centerline of Coontz Street by the construc-
tion of a sanitary sewer, together with the doing of any and all other work
in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvements a com.
plete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in ti
office of the City Clerk a~d as provided by and described in Ordinance Nbc
1921, be and the same hereby is approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereoi', as shown
in said assessment roll, is specially Oenefited by said improvements, and
that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot bi' land an(
part thereoi' and other property contained in said improvement district as
shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremer-
ton, the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel or lot and~
or part thereof, and other property between the termini o:' said improvement
abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such amounts so as-
sessed are hereby declared to be first lien against each parcel or lot of
land or part thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll.
~' Section 3. '~at for the purpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improv~
~hmd, District No. 246." Bonds, Bearing interest at 4% shall be issued in
serial numbers from one to seventeen, both inclusive, or so many as may be
necessary to provide for the uncollected po,rbion of said special assessment
due or owing for the uncollected portion in said district on the date here-
inafter z'ixed, the same to be in ~enominations o~' One Hundred Dollars each,
except the first which shall be for such l'ractional part of One Hundred Dol-
lars as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, payable from said
"Local Improvement Fund, District No. 248"~
Section 4. That the 20th day of august, 1951, be and the same is here-
by I'ixed for the date bi~ ~he issuance and sale bi' the bonds to be issued on
accoun~ of said improvement.
Section 5. Ahat this ordinance shall be in I'ull force and effect ~htr~
days from its passage and publication as provided~ by law.
PASSED by the City Oouncil, .signed by the Mayor and attested by the
