AN' ORDINANCE amending Section 4, oI' Ordinance No. 1918, and declaring
an emergency.
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of Bremerton adopted
Ordinance No. l~lS, adopting and coni~irming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 245, providing for the improvement of Harkins Street
from Winz'ield ~o Pitt~ and Pitt Avenue from East llth to two hundred ten feet
oi' the north line of the center line of East llth Street, all in the City of
Bremerton, Washington, and provided ~y Section 4, that the 20th day of ~arch,
1951, be i'ixed i'or the ~ate oZ~ issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on
accost ot' said local improvement ~istric~, ~d
WHEREAS, the assessment ~ll has not been delivered to the Treasurer of
the City of Bremerton in time ~o permit the issuance and sale o~' the bonds,
and ~hat by reason o~~ t~e failure or the delivery oz~ said aasessment roll,
there has been created an emergency, which effects the puOlic peace, health
and safety of ~he citizens and residents of the City of Bremerton, the City
of Bremerton
~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 4, oI~ Ordinance No. 1918, be and the s~e hereby
is ~ended to read as follows:
"Section ~. That the 30th day o~' March, 1~51, oe ~d the s~e is hereby
fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of tae bonds to ~e issued on ac-
count of said improvement."
Section ~. That an emergency exists which affects the public peace,
health ~d sax'ety of the City of Bremerton ~d this ordinance shall be effect-
ive i~ediately upon passage and publication.
PASSED UNANI~IOUSLY by the City Co~cil of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor ~d attested by the Clerk in authentication oi' such passage this
21st day of February, l~51.
