City Clerk AN ORDINANCE adopting and coni'irming the assessment roll ~'or Local Im- provement District No. 245~ providing for the improvement oI' Harkins Street from WinI'ield to Pitt and Pitt Avenue from Eo llth to 210 feet north of the c~nterline of E. llth Street, as in said ordinance described; providing for the levying and assessing oi~ the costs and expenses thereol' against the par- cels and lo~s of land between t~e termini and within the bo~]aries of said ~mprovement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special I'~d thereof, and fixing the date for the issuance o~' 0onds in payment t~ereof. BE IT ORDAINED BY T~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F BRE~v[ERTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. T~at the assessment roll l'or Local Improvement Oistrict No. 2~5 providing for the improvement of Harkins Street From Winz'~eld to Pitt, and Pitt Avenue from E llth to 210 l'eet North oz' the centerline of E llth Street by cle~ng grading for ~d construction oI' concrete curbs and gutters together with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to ma~e such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications 8n ~'ile in the 0fz'ice of the City' C!e~k and as_provide~L ,ay a~'~d d~scribed ~n o~d.[na~'~ce r~o. 1903, ~,~ and the s~:u~ fLs here- by approved and co~'irmed, Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown in the assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improvements, and that thereby and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof ~d other property contained in sai~ improvement district as sho~ in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective ~ounts in said roll set against each parcel or lot oi' and/or part Shereof, and other property between the termini oz' said improvement abut- ting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such ~o~ts so assessed are hereby declared to be i~irst lien against each parcel or lot oI' land or part thereo2' against which the s~e is assessed in said roll. Section 3. 'l'hat for the purpose of this said improvement there is hers- by created and established a special Z'~d to be known an8 called "Local Im- provement F~d, District No. 945." Bonds, bearing interest at 4%, shall be issued in serial n~nbers from one to 21, Ooth inclusive, or as many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said special assessment ~ue or owing for the ~coliected portion in said district on the date herein- above fixed, the s~e shall be in denominations of One H~dred ~llars each, except the first which s~ll 0e for such i'ractional part of One Hm~dred Dol- lars as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Loc- al Improvement F~d, District No. 245. Section 4. That the 20th day of March, $951, 0e and the s~e is here'by fixed for the date oZ' the issuance and sale oI' the bonds ~ be issued on ac- co~t oz' said improvement. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
