AN ORDINANCE creating the position of additional cashier in
the Clty Treasurer's Office~ providing for an appropriation of
funds for which no appropriation was made in the 195~ budget, and
declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BR[qMERTON DOES O~DAIN:
Section 1. That subsequent to the adoption of a budget for
the yearly the City Council of the City of Bremerton, there
has been increased work in th~ City Treasurer's 0ffic~ r~quiring
the establishment of the position of an additional cashier ther~-
in ~d that no provision for funds to pay wages and salaries for
such position was provided for in said budget. That the increased
work and ~he re~uirement of payment therefor could not have been
reasonably foreseen or anticipated a5 the time of the adoption of
the budget.
section 2. There is hereby created ~d established in the
City Treasurer's Office the position of additional cashier and
there is hereby appropriated from f~ds not otherwise appropriated
the s~ of ~450.00 to pay salaries and wages in connsction with
such position.
Section $. That by reason of the increased work in the
Treasurer's Office there exists amd is hereby declared to exist
an emergency and this ordinance is necessary for the present pre-
servation of the public peace, health, safety ~d welfare of the
citizens of the City of Bremerton and is required for carrying
on of the necessary work under the law for the Oepartment herein
described and shall take effect i~ediately following passage and
public ation.
PASSED ~animously by the City Co~cil of the City of Bremer-
ton, signed by the Mayor ~d attested by the Clerk in authentica-
tion of such passage this l~th day of November, 1952.
