AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorporating into the corporate limits
el' the City of Bre~nerton certain land now lying outside the limits of said
City, but lying contiguous to said City and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRF~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1o WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owners oI~ ail the pro-
perty according to the assessed valuation I'or taxation purposes, the same
being hereinafter described, was heretoi'ore filed with the City Council
ox~ the City' of Bremerton, and the Council thereaI'ter directed notice of
hearing to be held on Wednesday, the 9th day of July, 1952, at the hour
os' 11:00 o'clock A.~%., D.S.T., and sald notice was thereafter published
in the Bremerton Sun, the official newspaper of the City of Bremerton,
and three copies oi' said notice cz' said hearing have ~een posted in three
public places inand upon the property petitioned to be annexed, and there-
after a public hear.ing was held upon said petition on the 9th day of July,
1952, and following such pub±lc hearing the City Council o~' the City of
Bremerton has determined to annex -the property described in the petition
for annexation.
Section 2. The following described tracts oi' land are hereby and
are by this ordinance adopted and incorporated within and do hereby be-
come a part eL the City of Bremerton, to-wit:
(a) Portion oI' the ~fE~ oI' the NW~ el' Section 11, 'l'ownship
24 N, R1E, WM, described as follows: Beginning 120 ft.
N of the ~V corner of Govt. Lot 2 oI' said Section 11;
thence N 540 ft.; thence E 64b ft.; thence S 660 it.;
thence W ~3~ I't.; thence N 1~O z't.; thence W 206 ft.
to ~eginning.
(b) That portion of following described tract lying S of
above mentioned tract (a) and N and W o~' the County
road known as Sheridan Road: Portion of Lot 2 beg.
724.2 ~'t. W oi' NE Corner oI' Lot 2; taence S 49 deg.
W 209.4 i't.; thence $ 1073.50 i't. to meander line;
thence N 49 deg. 10 min. W 247 Ft.; t~ence N lull.5
ft.; thence E 393.8 ft. to beginning.
(c) The 30 ft. strip lying on t~e east side of above
mentioned tract (a); tais strip now rei'erred to
as the Rickey Road; legal description as follows:
'±'he E 30 ft. of the SW-~ of the NE~ oI' the NW-~ of
Section 11, ~ownship 24 N, R1E WM.
(d) Also that part of Sheridan Road lying between the
above descriOed tracts and the existing City Iimits.
Section 3. '~'hat by reason cz~ the annexation oi' said described proper-
ty and its inclusion in the City Limtts o~' the City of Bremerton, and the
necessity of affording police and fire protection thereto, taere exists s~d
is hereby declared to xist an emergency and this ordinance is necessary i'or
the immediate preservation o~' ~he public peace, health and saI'ety cz the
citizens of Bremerton, anm this ordinance saail be in I'ull l'orce and effect
following i-ss pasaage and puOli~ation.
