AN ORDINANCE relating to electricity and amending Sect. ? o~~ Ordinance
No. 1948 and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREIV[E~{TON DOES OitDAIN:
Section 1. ~£hat Section 7 cZ' Ordinance No. 19~8 be and hereby is ~end
ed to read as follows:
Section VII. License Fees. A license fee for ~ electrical con~ractor
shall be the s~ of' ~180.00 per year; for journe~an electrician, ~2.00 per
year; ~d for electrical maintenance, ~lO.00 per year. All license fees
shall be payable in advance.
Renewal license for ~ electrical contractor shall be ~he s~ of ~50.00
per year and all other licenses herein provided for may 0e renewed upon the
s~e fee as charged initially. All licenses shall be ~or a fiscal year be-
ginning on the 1st d. y of J~y in each year and ~ermina~lng on the ZO~h day
of J~e in the following year. ~'here licenses are obtained aI'~er January
1st in any year, the fee therei'or shall be one-half oi' the full year f~e.
Section ~. That due ~o the fact ~ohat licenses are renewable or are
due on the 1st day oi' July in each year ~d this ~en~ent removes ~he re-
quirement for license fees for electrical appliance dealers, ther~ exists
and is hereby declared to exist, an emergency, and that ~his ordinance is
necessary for the preservation of the public peace and weli'are o~' ~he cit-
izens of Bremerton and for carrying on of the necessary work of ~he City
and shall be in full force ~d eI'l~ect upon passage and publication.
