AN ORDINANCE providing for the appropriation oi' funds for which no,
or insufficient appropriation, was made in the 1952 Budget, and declaring
an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. 'Xhat subsequent to the adoption of a budget rot the year
1952, by the City of Bremerton Oy a charter amendment adopted by the elec-
tors of said City, the salaries oI' the elected oI'ficials el' said City were
increased, and that due to the annexation oI° certain areas to the City of
Bremerton and the development or other areas within said City, services in
certain departments and an additional requirement for services of employees
and for ~ich no, or insufficient provision, was made in the budget adopted
for the year 1~52, and which could not have been reasonably Z'oreseen at
the time of the adoption of the said budget.
Section 2. That by reason oi' the increase in the salaries of the
elected officials and the increased work and use or supplies required by
the a~mexation of areas to the City of Bremerton and the development of
others within the ~tty and the increased use of C~tF sea,%cps, eGu~Dme~t,,~._
and personnel occurmng az~er one amop~zonz~o exist, an emergency requiring
the following appropriations I'rom the respective funds heroinaI'te~ set out
and there is hereOy appropriated, said sums:
General Fund:
Executive - Increase salary of Mayor $470.25
Co~mmissioner of Finance - Increase salary 418.00
Commissioner of Public Wor~s - increase salary 418.00
City ClerX - increase salary 418.00
Building Department:
Salaries , Extra Office help to $1.33 per hr. 235.00
Extra Inspectors to $~.03 per hr. 355.00
Maintenance & Operation:
Auto Operation and Maintenance 500.00
Miscellaneous:
Maintenance & Operation:
Roof repairs, Garbage Building 3~ .00
Cemetery Fund:
Capital Outlay:
New Power Mower 300.00

Section 3. That by reason ct' the emergency created this ordinance is
necessary I'or the'preservation of the public health, safety and welfare
of the citizens of the City of Bremerton and is necessary I'or the carrying
on or the necessary womX required by the law for the departments herein
described and shall 5a~e effect immediately z'ollowing passage and publica-
tion.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council oi' the City of Bremerton,
SIGNED Dy the Mayor and attested Dy the City ~ler~ in authentication of
such passage t~is 18th day of June, 19o2.
