An ORDINANCE establishing a Bureau of ~ire Prevention, providing
regulation fo~~ fire prevention and protection, in connection with haz-
ardous materials and processes; providing officers therefor and. defin-
ing their powers and duties; providing penalties for the violation
thereof and repealing Ordinance No. 1413 and all other ordinances and/
or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
THE CITY OF BRE~4ERTON DOES O[{DAIN:
Section 1. 'Zhat a certain document, three copies oI' which are on
file in the office of the City Clerk oI' the City of Bremerton,marked and
designated as a suggested FIRE PREVENTION ORDINA~CE, Edition of~947 of
the National Board of Fire Underwriters, be, and the same hereby is,
adopted as a Fire ~revention Or, nm ce of the City of Bremerto~, and
providing for the establish~nent of a Bureau of Fire Prevention, provid-
ing regulations for fire prevention and protection in connection with
hazardous materials and processes; providing oZ*ficers therefor and de-
fining their power and duties, and providing penalties for violation
thereof and each and all oX' the regulations, provisions, conditions,
terms and penalties contained therein are hereby referred to and by
reference adopted and made a part hereof as though fully set out in this
ordinance.
Section ~. 'Zhat Ordinance No. 1413 and all o~her ordinances and/
or parts o~* ordinances in conflict here~th be, and the same hereby are
repealed.
Section 3. The City ClerM of the City of Bremerton shall keep on
file in his oi'fice at least three copies oi' such suggested Fire Preven-
tion Ordinance, Edition oi' 1947, i'or the use of the public and as re-
ference, and shall provide for such additional copies for sale or distri-
bution to such persons interested as shall be determined by the City
Council.
APPROVED on I'irst reading this 28th day of ~ay, 1952.
PASSED on second reading, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 4th day of June, 1952.
