AN ORDINANCE relating to electrtcit~.,and amending sub-section 3, of
section 9, oi' Ordinance No 1~48.

Section' 1. '~'hat sub-section 3 of sectionk9, of Ordinance No. 1948, be
and the same hereby is ~ended to z~ead as follows:
SECTION IX-3. In schools, theatres, churche~s, hospitals, assembly
halls and pu~%ic buildings, hotems, motels, residences housing three or more
paying] guests, and apartments larger than a duplex consisting oI~ two or more
floors, and located within the city of Bremerton, wiring therein shall be
encased in rigid metal conduit, electrical metallic tnbing, cast-in-place
raceways, or under floor ducts; provided that one-sto~y apartments oi' -6hree
or more built in a row and where the sidewall o~' one apartment becomes the
separating wall of the adjoining apartment in such row and such wall is of
one hour fire resistant material as provided in Section 4300 oi' Ordinance
No. 1418, co~monl[ known as the Building Code and with all hollow spaces
filled with a non-combustible material, in such apartments', the wiring may
be oi' non-metallic sheathe~ caOle, knob and tube or equal.
