AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 25?, providing for the improvement of Scott
Avenue from East llth Street to East 13th Street as in saidordinance
described; providing for the levying and assessing of costs and expenses
thereof against the parcels and lots of land between the t er~hini and with-
in the boundaries of said improvement district, providing for the col-
lection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor, and
fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BRE~IERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. '£~at the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 257 providing for the improvement of Scott Avenue from oast llth Street
to East 13th Street by the construction of five foot concrete sidewalks
and concrete curbs and gutters, together with the doing of any and all
other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make suc~ im-
provements a complete Job, all in accordance with 'the plans and speci-
fications on file in the Office of the City Cl~.rk and as provided by and
described in Ordinance No. 2033 be and the same is hereby approved and
confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or p~rt thereof, ~s
shown in said assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improvements,
~nd that there beand hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of
land and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement
district'as shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the
City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel or lot and or part thereof, and other property between the
termini ef said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said
street and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien
against each parcel or lot of land or part thereof against which the same
is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as called "Local Im-
provement Fund District No. 257". Bonds, bearing interest at 4% shall be
issued in serial numbers from one (1) to fifty-eight (58), both inclusive
or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of
said special assessment due or owning for the uncollected portion of said
district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denominations
of One Hundred Dollar Bonds each, except the first which shall be for
such fractional part of One Hundred Dollars as may be remaining due and
unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund District
No. 257".
Section ~. That the 18th day of February, 198A, be and the same is
hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds ~o be is-
sued on account of said improvement.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days from its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of December,
1953.
