Improvement District No. 255, providing for the improvement of Nipsic
Avenue from East lgth Street to East 16th Street as in said ordinance
described; providing for the levying and assessing of the costs and
psnses thersreof against the paresis and loss of land between the termini
and within the boundaries of said improvement district, providing for the
collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor,
and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. '£hat the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 255 providing for the improvement of Nipsic Avenue from East lgth St-
reed to East 16th Street by the construction of concrete sidewalks, five
feet wide, and concrete curbs and gutters together with the doing of any
and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make
such improvements a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and
specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk and as provided
by and described in Ordinance No. 2024 be and the same is hereby approved
and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of landor part thereof, as
shown in said assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improve-
msnts, and that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and
lot of land and part thereof and other property contained in said improve-
merit district as shown in said roll, including the property belonging to
the City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel or lot and or part thereof, and other property between the
termini of said improvemsnt abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said
street and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to os first lien
against each parcel or lot of land or part thereof against which the same
is assessed in said roll.
Section ~. ~hat for the purpose of ghis improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to ~ known and called "Local Im-
provement Fund District No. 255". Bonds, bearing interest at 4% shall
be issued in serial numbers from On~ (1) to forth-nine(49) , both inclus-
ive, or so many as may be necessary to provid~ for the unoollected por-
tion of said special assessment due or owing for the uncollected portion
of said district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denom-
inations of One Hundred Dollar Bonds each, except the first which shall
be for such fractional part of One Hundred Dollars as may be remaining
due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local improvement Fund
~istrict No. 255".
Section 4. That the 20th day of January, 1954, be and the same is
hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be
issued on account of said improvement.
Section 5. Z'hat this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days from it s passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by
the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 25th day of Nov-
ember, 1953.
