THE CITY OF BRE~EiRTON ~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. ~hat Nfpsic Avenue from East lath Street to East 16th
Street be ~mprove~ by the construction of concrete s~dews, lks, five f~eet
wide~ and concrete curbs and gutters, together with the doin~! of any
Il other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such
im.pro~ement a complete job, all in accordance with the maps, plans
specifications now on file fin the Offffce of the C~ty Clerk oF the City of
~remerton.
Section ~. That t~e cost and expense of said improvement shall be
~orne by and assessed against the property included tn the assessment dist-
r, ict hereinafter created, in accordance with the provisions of the Revised
Code of ~,'~ash~ngton 35.4~.080 except such proportion of said cost ss
be borne by and paid for by the State of ~as~ington or otter sovernmenta!
.9~lency, which proportion of ssch cost and expense is hereby declared to
in accordance with the specie], benefits conferred upon such property.
Section 3. That there is hereby estsb].ished and created a local
~_~rovement ~istrict to be called and known as "Local Improvement, District
No 255" the boundaries of which are desc~bed as follows'

thence North along said ~¥est line of Tract 95 and 36 to the c~nter]ine of
East ]'t. ~treet; thence East along the centerl~ne of East 16th Street to
its 'intersection with the centerline of Nipsic Avenue, the point of begin-
n ing.
Section 4. That the cost and expense of said improveme~t to be borne
by said Improvement District and exclusive of any portion borne by either
t~e State oF ~Arashington or other Goverr~anental Agency sh~ll be assessed a-

Section 5. 'Z'hat bonds bearin~j interest at a rate of not more than six
per cent ocr anmm~, payable on or before ten yesrs from the date off iss,~ance,
s~s.l.], be issued in payment of the cost and expense of said improvement assess-
ed against the property included in the district hereinablve described which
honda shall be redeemed by a collection of special assessments lev-led ~d

ins,tallments, with interest at the rate of not to exceed eight per' c,~nt per
snm~m under 'the mode of payment by bon~s as required by law and the ordJn~ces
of the City' of Sremerton. These bonds shall be delivered to the contr~ctor
re~emption of' warrants on the Local Improvement District funds iss~ed on the
esti~mt,. ~', e of the City En~dneer,_. or the City of ~Bremerton may,. st its o~tffon,
sell. said bonds and make such redemption ~n cash.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall take effect ir~:mediate!y following
J ts oassa6e and puOlication, as provided by law.
