AN 01tDTNANCE adopting and confirming the ~assessment roll for Local
improvement District No. 2.52, providing for the improvement oi' ~erren
Avenue between Dibb Street and East 33rd Street and East 33rd Street be-
tween Solie Avenue and Herren Avenue as in said ordinance described; pro-
viding for the levying and assessing of the costs and expenses thereof
s~ainst the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the
boundaries of said improvemeni; district providing for the coll.::ction
thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing
the date for t~e issuance of bonds in pa~nnent thereof.
TIIE CITY OF BREI'~ERTON DOES 0HDAIN:
Section 1. ~Z'hat the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. Z52 providing for the improvement of ~lerren Avenue between Dibb Street
and East 33rd Street and East 33rd Street between Solie Avenue and Herren
Avenue by the construction of sanitary sewers, together with the doing of
~ny and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make
such improvements a complete Job, all in accordance with the plans and
specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk and as proviz]ed by
and described in Ordinance No. 1996, be an~] the same is [~ereby approved
and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in sai¢] assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improvements, and
t!lat there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of la~d and
part thereof and other property contained in said improvement district as
shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremer-
ton, the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel or lot a~/
or part thereof, and other property between the termini of said improvement
abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such amounts so
assessed are hereby declared to be first lien against eac~h parcel or lot of
land o;· part thereof against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpos~ of this improvement there is hereby
created and es'5ablis~ed a special fund to be known and called "Local Im-
provement Fund, District No. 252". Bonds, bearing interest at 4% (four
per-cent) shall be issued in serial numbers from one to thirty-one, both
inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected
portion of said special assessment due or owing for the uncollected portion
of said ~istrict on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denomina-
tions of ~200.00 (two hundred dollars) each, except the first which ehall be
fo~:, such fractional part of ~200.00 (two hundred dollars) as may be remain-
in?~ due and tu~paid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund,
~istrict No. 252".
Section 4. That the 7th day of April, 1953, be and the same is hereby
fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on
account of said improvement.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
dyas (thirty days) from its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE City Council, signed by the ~ayor and atteste5 by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 18th day of February,
1953.
